Properties of sound

We practice the properties of sound with this rap  (practicamos las propiedades del sonido con este rap).

Steps we followed in class (pasos que hemos seguido en clase):

1. We learned body percussion (aprendemos la percusión corporal).

2. We played the song and played along with body percussion (ponemos la canción y tocamos encima la percusión corporal).

3. We sang and learned the qualities of sound while doing body percussion during the instrumental part (cantamos y aprendemos las cualidades del sonido mientras hacemos percusión corporal en la parte instrumental).

“When I’m Gone” is a popular song performed by Anna Kendrick in the movie Pitch Perfect (2012) called in Spanish Dando la nota. It is also known as 'The Cup Song', because in the film Anna uses a plastic cup to create a fun rhythm while singing. 

YOU SHOULD WATCH THE FILM!

In this version, we play the melody on the recorder instead of using cups. The song has a catchy rhythm and easy notes that help you to practice timing, listening, and coordination.

I also include a cup tutorial so you can practice the rhythm at home and have fun making music in different ways! 🎶
